* If you need a full set of house plans drawn from a picture or hand drawn layout
I have often drawn house plans from a simple sketch of a layout idea or from no more than a picture.
The important thing this is that you know what you want. I can draw a set of house plans that you can build your
home with after some initial consultation.
* If you only have a picture in your head
Like so many things in life, we often have great ideas but have no skills to make them come to life. Designing a home is
especially true of that because we live our lives in houses and so we all have formed opinions of what is the perfect
creation for ourselves. I know how to make your ideas a home.
* If you have no idea what you want
Actually you probably do know what you want in general terms but you can't put anything down on paper. No problem, I'll get
it out of you. That's what I do. Just start describing to me what you have in mind and I'll get it onto paper in the form
of legible drawings that a building inspector or a contractor or the truss designer can interpret and do their part to make your
vision a building.
* If you want to build a small project and need plans for the building department
To get a permit for an additon, deck or shop you will need some drawings to give to the building department. I know what they typically
require. It does not have to be complicated but it does have to be accurate for the contractor's sake or anyone else who will be doing
work on the project. Once we have the details worked out, I can normally draw a small project in about three to six hours.
* If you only want to know if your ideas are feasible
Many times a person will wonder if the idea they have for a remodel or addition project is
structurally feasible or perhaps cost prohibitive. I have over 30 years in residential construction
and for a fee of $45 an hour I can come to your house for consultation. You pay
for one of my driving.
